14 Times a Dem AG Candidate Mentions Trump, in New Video From GOP AG Nominee

Sue Hatfield's new web video is a supercut of the times William Tong, the Democratic nominee for attorney general, mentioned Donald Trump during a recent debate on NBC Connecticut.

State Rep. William Tong (D-Stamford), the Democratic nominee for attorney general of Connecticut, is ‘fixated’ on Donald Trump, his Republican opponent claims in a new web video published Tuesday.

The new video is a supercut of Tong’s mentions of the president of the United States in a recent NBC Connecticut debate with prosecutor Sue Hatfield, the Republican candidate for attorney general.

The first part of the video is all Tong, and goes like this:

“The president of the United States is coming after us. Donald Trump. Trump. Trump supporter. Donald Trump. Trump. Donald Trump’s attack. Donald Trump. Trump. Donald Trump’s policies. Donald Trump. Donald Trump’s position. I was disgusted. She doesn’t wanna talk about Donald Trump. I think I have deeper experience. And standing up to the president of the United States.”

It’s worth noting that one of Trump’s biggest opponents in Washington, D.C. right now is a former attorney general of Connecticut, Sen. Richard Blumethal (D-Conn.).

Hatfield’s campaign also released an ad Tuesday that will run on television, focusing on Tong’s position on crime and Hatfield’s background as a prosecutor.
