Another Ratings Group Calls CT-Gov a “Tossup”June 15, 2017
Decision Desk HQ, which conducts analysis of campaigns and election results, calls the Connecticut gubernatorial race a "tossup" between Dems and the GOP.
Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), one of the top sites in the country for analysis of campaigns and election results, is calling the Connecticut gubernatorial race a “tossup” in its first set of ratings for the 2018 cycle.
DDHQ says, of Connecticut:
Recent Gubernatorial races in Connecticut have been very close, and 2018 is looking to be no different. Despite enacting several pieces of progressive legislation, Governor Dan Malloy (D) has never been popular, and ranks among the least popular Governors.
Connecticut is one seven states DDHQ rates as a tossup, along with Maine, Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Illinois, and Nevada.
The race is wide open on both sides of the aisle right now, with at least 14 declared or likely candidates in the race. Who wins is unclear, but one thing is: voters in Connecticut are not happy with the leadership of Gov. Dan Malloy (D-Conn.).
