Big Spender: See How Much Lamont Has Spent on His Own CT-Gov. CampaignOctober 12, 2018
The Democratic nominee is far outpacing his Republican rival when it comes to personal spending in the race.
Democrat Ned Lamont contributed $8.2 million to his gubernatorial campaign in the month of September alone, bringing his personal spending on the race to $12.1 million.
Lamont is self-funding his effort to succeed Gov. Dan Malloy (D-Conn.), with his $12.1 million representing 95 percent of his total monetary receipts since the primary ended.
Republican Bob Stefanowski contributed $3 million to his campaign in September, bringing his personal spending on the race to $5 million. That’s less than half Lamont’s personal spending on the race.
Lamont’s campaign spent $3.3 million in the month of September. Stefanowski’s campaign spent only $900,000.
