ICYMI: An Energy Company Had a Clever Response to Chris Murphy’s Snarky Attack

The junior senator wrote a snarky tweet about Koch Industries, an energy company run by brothers who are major GOP donors. Koch Industries responded with a barb of their own.

On Friday, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) wrote a snarky tweet about Koch Industries, an energy company run in part by brothers who donate large sums to Republican candidates.

Murphy used a conversation with his son to make a political point, via tweet, that the “Koch Brothers” are “polluters.”

Hours later, Koch Industries responded with enthusiasm.

Conservative media loved the exchange. The Washington Free Beacon headlined their story: “Murphy Attempts to Slam Koch Brothers, Gets Dunked On.” Twitchy wrote “Koch Industries hits back at Chris Murphy and it’s just PERFECT.”

Murphy responded by going lower, claiming the Kochs “don’t believe” in energy, presumably because they work in oil and gas.

Of course, it has been reported that Charles Koch, the CEO of Koch Industries, has said that the climate is changing.
