NEW POLL: 64% of CT Voters Disapprove of Dan MalloyJuly 18, 2017
The outgoing governor is still very unpopular, a new survey confirms.
Gov. Dan Malloy (D-Conn.) is one of the least popular governors in the nation, according to a new poll released by Morning Consult.
Morning Consult interviewed 195,000 registered voters, asking them whether they approve or disapprove of their governor, from April 1 through July 10.
Malloy has the third-worst net approval, at -28 percentage points. Only 29 percent of Connecticut voters approve of Malloy, while 64 percent disapprove.
Malloy also has the third-highest disapproval rating, ahead of only Govs. Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Chris Christie (R-NJ), who are at 66 percent disapproval and 69 percent disapproval respectively.
Only two other governors – Brownback and Christie – join Malloy in having an approval rating south of 30 percent.
