New Poll: Republican Leads Democrat on CT-Gov. Ballot By 6.5 PointsMay 7, 2018
The Tremont Public Advisors poll brings good news for Republicans, a week ahead of the state GOP convention.
Republicans will meet later this week to pick party-endorsed candidates for governor, and other races, but they’re kicking off the week on a good note with a new poll released Monday morning.
The new poll from Tremont Public Advisors says:
For those keeping count, that’s a 6.5-point lead for the generic Republican candidate over the generic Democratic candidate.
Tremont also tested how Mayor Erin Stewart (R-New Britain) and Mayor Mark Boughton (R-Danbury) perform against Ned Lamont and former Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz (D-Conn.). Stewart beats both, and Boughton beats Bysiewicz.
Tremont Public Advisors surveyed 550 Connecticut residents.
