RGA Targets Lembo and Wyman on Aetna News

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) is going after Comptroller Kevin Lembo and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman after Aetna announced it's considering finding a new headquarters.

The Republican Governors Association (RGA) is targeting two of the state’s top Democratic officeholders in the wake of last week’s news that Aetna may move its headquarters from Hartford to another state.

The RGA called out Comptroller Kevin Lembo (D-Conn.) – who is exploring a run for governor – and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman (D-Conn.), who is considering a run for governor.

“Despite having declared his candidacy over a month ago, Connecticut Comptroller and Malloy accomplice Kevin Lembo appears to have gone into hiding, giving no public statements on the Aetna news or the worsening budget crisis facing the state,” the RGA release reads. “Also silent has been Nancy Wyman, Malloy’s lieutenant governor, who recently announced that she is nearing a decision on entering the gubernatorial race.”

Although Wyman is on many of the press releases sent out by the office of Gov. Dan Malloy (D-Conn.), her name is nowhere to be found on the release with Malloy’s response to the Aetna news last week.
