Uh-Oh! Malloy’s Security Allegedly Parks in Disabled Parking Space in Nantucket

Malloy's office responded in a statement to Fox 61.

WPLR 99.1 New Haven shared photos Monday alleging security for Gov. Dan Malloy (D-Conn.) parked in a disabled parking spot in Nantucket, Massachusetts over the weekend.

Governor Malloy takes a trip to #Nantucket (probably on our dime) and look where his security parks!! What do you think about this? #GovsGottaGo

Fox 61 reported that Malloy’s office responded with a statement arguing Malloy “was not in this vehicle when it was parked or removed from this area, and was therefore unaware that it was left in this space.”

The statement added:

“He believes this is unacceptable, and feels strongly that reserved parking spaces for those with disabilities should only be utilized by persons with disabilities,” [Press Secretary Leigh] Appleby said.

Still, it’s not a great look for the governor, especially in the final year of an incredibly unpopular tenure.
